AMBU Jal

Packaged drinking water Branding and Launch

Category

Packaged natural drinking water

Audience

Modern, health-conscious consumers in premium segments

Scope

Brand identity, logo, packaging, launch creatives

The challenge

Every water brand promises the same thing: pure, fresh, natural. Shoppers can’t tell them apart, so they buy on price.

AMBU Jal had two real assets: a Himalayan source and a name that means “water” in Sanskrit. The job was a minimal mark that stands out in a crowded chiller and earns a premium with health-conscious buyers.

The insight

Don’t claim purity. Show the source.

A brand-named Water, from the mountains where India’s rivers begin, doesn’t need adjectives. It needs a mark that shows where the water comes from.

The Mark

Three elements in one lockup. Read top to bottom, it traces the water's journey: peak, river, bottle.

A rounded lowercase wordmark keeps it modern and legible at any size.

The System

Two colours and a wave. Enough to recognise the brand even without the logo.

Packaging & web

On the bottle, the water is the hero: a clear label, a dominant mark and one claim, 100% Natural. One promise said once beats five said loudly.

Launch campaign: Naturally pure

Purity sold through human moments, not chemistry. One scene, one line, and the bottle always in the same spot to build recall.

Results

AMBU Jal launched as a complete, consistent brand and is now working in the packaged drinking water market.
